In order to highlight pockets of excellence across the country, the NNED selects a partner organization to highlight once a month. The AIDS Project of the East Bay (APEB) has been selected as the Partner of the Month for June in celebration of Pride Month.
APEB’s mission is to prevent new HIV infections and to support individuals living with the virus through programs prioritizing some of the most vulnerable and marginalized individuals. The corporation seeks to provide culturally sensitive, non-judgmental, and effective services to all persons and communities in Alameda County, CA living with and at risk for HIV infection.
As a community based organization dedicated to prevent the spread of HIV, APEB offers a variety of services including a drop-in clinic for trans youth and a wellness center for people without insurance.

- Youth Programming
- Rapid HIV & Hepatitis C Testing
- PrEP/PEP Navigation
- Transgender Health Services
- Housing Case Management
- Targeted Case Management
At two convenient locations APEB Wellness Center provides: Primary Health Care, Acute Care, Physicals, Vaccines and a variety of HIV related Lab work.
