Working with family members of people with substance use disorder (SUD) can be an incredibly rewarding and effective part of the helping process. Join P. Casey Arrillaga, LCSW, LCDC, as he shares what he has learned through years of helping families through family workshops, family sessions, and individual work with family members. He will also share his findings from researching and writing his books, Realistic Hope: The Family Survival Guide for Facing Alcoholism and Other Addictions and Mommy’s Getting Sober, as well as his research from hosting his podcast “Addiction and the Family.” Casey covers many topics, including overarching mindset and goals, common challenges and how to overcome them, common motivations and patterns in families, topics to consider when working with families and how to approach them, and more. This webinar is hosted by the National Association of Alcoholism Counselors and Trainers (NAACT) and will be held on November 20.
