Visit Web Site

HHS Region 8:

Each year, the Montana Healthcare Foundation’s CFP offers Montana-based organizations a chance to apply for funding to design and pilot innovative, Montana-grown solutions to key health challenges. The Foundation’s focus areas include behavioral health (mental illness and drug and alcohol use), American-Indian health, and Partnerships for Better Health.

  1. Behavioral Health: The foundation supports collaborative, systems-based solutions to behavioral health disorders in Montana.
  2. American-Indian Health: The foundation supports projects that strengthen the healthcare systems serving American-Indian communities and address the upstream social, economic, and educational challenges that drive health disparities in those communities.
  3. Partnerships for Better Health: The foundation supports innovative pilot projects or community-based initiatives that demonstrate how collaboration between hospitals, community health centers, public health departments, and other community-based organizations can yield synergistic improvements in health, as well as a more efficient use of resources.

Applicants must be a Montana-based organization that is considered tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, a tax-exempt educational institution, or a state, tribal, or local government agency. Proposals for the upcoming cycle are due May 15, 2023.
