HHS Region 2, 3:
The van Ameringen Foundation, a private grantmaking foundation located in New York City, supports both innovative and practical programs that improve the accessibility of mental health services for the poor and needy, offer preventive and early-intervention strategies, and advocate for systemic change with local or national impact. To that end, the foundation is accepting LOIs for direct service and non-direct service grants.
To be eligible, applicants must be a nonprofit organization serving metropolitan New York and Philadelphia; although the foundation does provide support for advocacy at the national level, it does not currently support programs focused on intellectual or physical disability. The foundation does not make grants for endowments, capital projects, annual fundraising drives, or in support of international activities and institutions. Letters of Intent must be received no later than July 12, 2019. Upon review, applicants will be invited to submit a full application by November 2019.
