In order to highlight pockets of excellence across the country, the NNED selects a partner organization to highlight once a month. AIDS Resource Foundation for Children, has been selected as the Partner of the Month for January.
AIDS Resource Foundation for Children is a nonprofit organization that serves communities in New Jersey. They offer help to individuals, children, and families who are impacted by HIV/AIDS or are faced with other social and health-related barriers to be resilient and to build healthier futures. Their goal is to positively impact the health and well-being of the communities served.
The programs and services that are currently offered:
- St. Clare’s Social Services – St. Clare’s Social Services provides people living with HIV/AIDS with core and supportive services.
- Transitional Housing Program – This is a transitional housing program for adult women who are HIV-positive and who aspire to gain the skills necessary to live independent and productive lives.
- Project Nest Transitional Housing Program – Project Nest Transitional Housing Program is a flagship program in New Jersey that addresses the growing need for supportive services specific to the HIV-positive gay/bisexual community.
- St. Clare’s Housing Program – St. Clare’s Housing Program provides supportive housing to people living with HIV/AIDS.
