Partnering with Parents and Families to Support Immigrant and Refugee Children

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s initiative Caring Across Communities has produced this issue brief entitled, Partnering with Parents and Families to Support Immigrant and Refugee Children at School.  The issue brief describes the impact of the immigrant and refugee experience on children and youth and the importance of engaging the entire family in addressing the mental health issues that may affect some of these children. Strategies that focus on families and bridging the school-community divide are described.
