NNED PARTNER of the MONTH:

Reaching Out About Depression (ROAD) has been selected as the Partner of the Month for January.  Based in Massachusetts, ROAD is an innovative community-based program that helps women struggling with poverty and depression.

ROAD provides integrated attention to internal psychological issues and external systemic issues that are usually addressed separately in mainstream mental health and social services systems.  By creating a network of support in the community, the ROAD program helps women experiencing stress or depression understand that they are not alone, while offering strategies and resources to promote their self-empowerment and improved quality of life.
