The Suicide Prevention Resource Center (SPRC) has released four updated fact sheets about suicide among Hispanic, Black, Asian/Pacific Islander/Native Hawaiian, and American Indian/Alaska Native populations in the United States. The fact sheets report on: mortality from 2004-2008; suicidal behavior (attempts and ideation); suicide among youth; strengths and protective factors; and risk factors. A chart of suicide mortality over the ten most recent years of available data (1999-2008) compares suicide among American Indians/Alaska Natives, whites, blacks, and Asians/Pacific Islanders/Native Hawaiians. You can find the fact sheets in the SPRC library here. |
