NNED Partner of the Month

In order to highlight pockets of excellence across the country the NNED selects an organization to highlight once a month.  This month, the NNED has selected Island Girl Power Guam (IGP). IGP's mission is to provide Positive Alternatives for young ladies, empowering, encouraging, and inspiring them to be confident in their efforts to succeed, which ultimately discourages teen pregnancy, suicide, substance and sexual abuse

Based in Dedo, Guam IGP was originally founded in 2002 by the Ayuda Foundation to address the increasingly high rates of teen pregnancy, suicide, substance abuse and sexual abuse in Guam by offering a safe outlet for girls between the ages of 7 to 14. IGP is a place where girls can develop their own personal interests and aspirations in a safe place. For more information click here.
