Calling Content Experts to Support Behavioral Health Providers in Integrating Primary Care

The SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions (CIHS) is looking for content experts to support the work of behavioral health providers who are integrating primary care for a diverse range of individuals with serious mental illness. Members of the CIHS Consultant Pool are utilized for training and technical assistance including phone consultation, webinars, dissemination of resources, and some on-site training. CIHS is a national technical assistance center dedicated to the planning and development of integration of primary and behavioral health care for those with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders and physical health conditions, whether seen in specialty mental health or primary care safety net provider settings across the country. CIHS supports the work of 93 SAMHSA PBHCI grantees who are improving access to primary care services; integrating prevention, early identification, and intervention to reduce the incidence of serious physical illnesses, including chronic disease; increasing the availability of integrated, holistic care for physical and behavioral disorders; and improving the overall health status of clients.
