Celebrating Families! is a 16 week evidence based program for families impacted by AOD. It is the only program listed on the National Registry of Effective Programs and Practices (NREPP) that engages all family members ages three to adult and addresses addiction, recovery and healthy living skills in every session. Celebrating Families! fosters the development of safe, healthy, fulfilled, and addiction-free individuals and families by increasing resiliency factors and decreasing risk factors while incorporating addiction recovery concepts with healthy family living skills. Celebrating Families! is designed to involve multiple families, typically 8 to 15 families in each cycle, values the "expertise" of the local site staff/volunteers and is applicable across the continuum of care. Treatment folks see it as a recovery support, while prevention folks see it as an intervention to strengthen protective factors for the children and other family members.
All welcome, public and private agency staff, as well as community leaders.
