Monday, October 30, 2017 | 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT
Curious about how to get more youth involved in HIV prevention work? For health departments and community organizations interested in engaging youth in HIV prevention activities, join UCHAPS for a webinar as UCHAPS member jurisdictions share their work.
The Baltimore City Health Department will share information about how they engaged college students in Project Presence. Project Presence is a bi-annual community-organized visual storytelling exhibition showcasing the lives and narratives of LGBTQ, same-gender-loving people of color and allies in Baltimore City. By being visible, the models in this exhibit are doing something to address stigmas such as bullying, rejection, feeling unsafe, and being treated unfairly.
The DC Department of Health will share information about their new “Sex is …” campaign that targets high school students. It is a bold, new citywide youth campaign that focuses on sex positivity and open conversations.
