The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline knows that one call can save a life. Crisis centers offer critical, immediate counseling to those in need. First launched in 2005, Lifeline is an innovative leader in suicide prevention and crisis services. Its nationwide network connects over 150 local crisis centers in almost all 50 states to one toll-free number: 1-800-273-8255. Dial this number and the caller is automatically connected to a crisis counselor in their geographic area. The Lifeline network relies on crisis centers like yours to respond when the phone rings.

In this webinar, attendees will hear directly from the Lifeline’s membership team. Content will describe what it means to be a Lifeline member, how the call routing system works, and how your organization can join this growing network. Presenters will cover both the requirements and benefits of membership including training, national promotion, and an annual stipend. Finally, the webinar will highlight a long-time Lifeline member organization, their motivation to join, and their experience in the national network.
